My husband and I interviewed several architects prior to a "major" home renovation on what would become our family home. We chose Stephanie Barnes Castro for several reasons–glowing references from prior clients, the wide variety of design styles from her past projects, and her ability to listen so carefully to what we wanted and needed in a home. Stephanie's ability to interpret our wants and needs was exceptional. Transforming our dark and unremarkable house into beautiful and functional home for our large family was only one component of our project. Stephanie skillfully met the accessibility requirements for several of our family members with her thoughtful planning without comprising her beautiful design. She created a seamless transition between the interior and exterior of our home. Stephanie masterfully designed a home that allowed our large family to have places to gather together as well as spaces we could each call our own. Thanks to her thoroughness and careful planning, we had no trouble with the permit process, and in less than a year, our fixer became the family home of our dreams.
